I have been both freelance and a "behind the chair" hair and makeup artist for two decades. I began my journey as a stylist here in the U.S. and was fortunate enough to start out in a small studio that encouraged the artistry of the craft as top priority, pushing the boundaries of creativity and cultivating a spirit of divergent thinking. I moved to Italy and lived and worked there until 2005. It was there where I worked as a freelance artist, mostly partnering with photographers in the aid of helping young models build their portfolios, and creating editorial material for the portfolios of the photographers, which solidified my desire to redefine what are considered traditional norms in beauty.

I have studied with many Master Stylists in a wide range of methodology and technique, from Toni & Guy, Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, Trevor Sorbie and most recently in the Spring of 2022 with Jayne Matthews of Edo Salon.

Hair and makeup are two of my favorite expressions of art as I see it more like 3D painting and sculpture, with the added benefit of giving the person in my chair an experience of well being, community, and joy.

As an Herbalist, I strive to give a truly holistic experience to my clients, as I firmly believe that true 'beauty" is a feeling, and a state of being. I have been a practicing Herbalist since 2005, and continue to study with various programs here and abroad. I practice the Vitalist approach and am an ongoing student at The School of Evolutionary Herbalism as well as a few other ongoing programs, and am the founder of Botanic Providence, a plant based self care brand that also incorporates supportive herbal therapies. I also have a Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Formulation through Formula Botanica.

I founded Flipp with the intentions of creating a safe space for the entire community and one for the artists to have artistic freedom in their creativity free of toxicity both chemically and philosophically.

Beyond the salon chair, Mark is a true horror aficionado, he not only masters the art of hair but also curates an extensive collection of rare paraphernalia that could send shivers down your spine. But that's not all—Mark is a self-proclaimed Sci-Fi/Cult Movie and Comic Con Nerd, bringing a touch of geek-chic to every cut and color. A proud member of the Flipp team since its opening in 2011, Mark brings his expertise and a passion for the avant-garde to every client's experience. As a stylist, Charlotte prioritizes being an expert on her clients' hair. She listens attentively to understand their goals and concerns, carefully considering their personality and lifestyle to create a hairstyle that truly reflects their individuality. Since beginning her hair career in 2015, Charlotte has consistently dedicated herself to learning new cutting and coloring techniques. Her background in chemistry enhances her ability to formulate colors and develop effective styling methods.

Charlotte specializes in lived-in blondes, balayage, vivid colors, introductory curly hair journeys, razor cuts, and shears-over-comb techniques. She is passionate about working in a salon that utilizes low-toxicity, plant-based, and plastic-free products, enabling clients to achieve their hair goals while minimizing their environmental impact.

When not immersed in the world of hair, Charlotte's focus often turns to food. She enjoys cooking regularly, drawing inspiration from her upbringing in a family-owned restaurant. A strong advocate for mental health, Charlotte strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for her clients. Her other interests include exploring nature, singing, and sketching.

Brandon brings a fresh perspective to the world of haircutting, coloring, and styling. His artistry knows no bounds – from cutting and vivid colors to vintage styles, barbering, and nuanced highlighting techniques. Outside Flipp, Brandon is a multifaceted individual with a love for creativity and self-expression.

Forrest is an enthusiastic creative who loves working in many mediums, especially hair. His career in the beauty industry started in 2011. What he brings to his art, is the philosophy that as a hair stylist it's our responsibility to help individuals express their internal self in a physical reality through their look. “Your true expression of self is my mission.”

Kseniya has not only showcased expertise but has also excelled in competitive environments, having secured a remarkable second place in international hairstyle competitions held in Moscow. Recognized for their exceptional skills, she has been invited as a specialist colorist at international exhibitions, her work has also featured in professional hairdressing publications.
