 Covid19 Update

We wanted to reach out after the latest update by our Governor, as we are keeping a close eye on things to keep you updated on the current state of things.

As we are sure you have heard, during this "pause" we are still allowed to remain open, and all appointments are still valid. All of this depends on how we as a society handle things in the next three weeks.

FROM US:

To do our part, we will continue to uphold all of the protocols we put in place as far as keeping our studio sanitary by:

  • Implementing all the extra cleaning and sanitizing on top of what we already do after every client.

  • Last month our entire duct system was cleaned and sterilized and we continue to use Merv13 filters with hospital grade filtration

  • Keeping the windows open and the door ajar by at least 4 inches at all times for a constant influx of fresh air, and with this, the added heaters necessary to keep the space warm. We promise we will do our best to keep you warm and comfortable!!

  • Our Ozone generator with UV light runs twice over night. This creates an unlivable environment, which is why we run it overnight, when no one is there. Normal oxygen levels are restored by 6AM. Sounds scary...it isn't. It's Science.

  • We continue to wear masks at all times while inside the Salon. This is standard policy and non negotiable.

  • We continue to follow all CDC and RIDOH guidelines.

FROM YOU:

  • PLEASE if you are feeling ill in ANY way or have been exposed to Covid19 or the Flu virus, we ask that you contact us to reschedule your appointment for the proper quarantine time required. We will happily assist you.

  • You must wear a mask at ALL TIMES while in the Salon. Please have it on BEFORE you enter. Please wear it so that it COVERS BOTH YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH. Please choose a mask that fits properly, fits AROUND THE EARS and not a mask that ties behind your head, so we can design your look properly by reaching those hard to get at areas.

  • AT NO TIME may it be removed. We need to repeat that for those in the back....AT NO TIME can you remove your mask. Please do not bring a beverage or food, as that would require you to remove your mask. We promise to bring back our beverage service as soon as we can (we miss it too!).

  • If you plan on traveling for Thanksgiving, or engage in any other activity prohibited by the current State level guidelines, we kindly ask that you honestly and lovingly PLEASE reschedule your appointments for the 14 day quarantine. We know this can be an inconvenience, but if things keep going in the direction we are currently following, a complete shutdown will be inevitable...that's the biggest inconvenience of all! So we kindly ask to PLEASE be honest about this, do the right thing, as our health and livelihoods depend on it. We cannot express how thankful we are about this simple gesture.

  • Please Come at the time of your appointment and not earlier, as this would cause us to be over capacity at times. Please come alone, as we cannot accommodate other guests at this time for capacity reasons.

  • Keep in mind that so many of the small businesses, artisans, restaurants are really suffering through all of this, some literally hanging on by a thread. PLEASE consider to shop exclusively local for all of your Post-Thanksgiving Shopping and Holiday gifting this year. So much talent in Rhody!

  • Get some awesome takeout, some places even offer cocktails to go! Most shops have an online option or appointment only option for safe shopping. We humbly put ourselves in the mix as well, especially with our Seasonal gift box options. We will send out a list of some of our favorite places and their links early next week for you to explore!

  • With all of that said, WE THANK YOU for your continued support and understanding. We will get through this...we can DO IT, but it takes a collective effort...it takes all of us. It takes cooperation.

Sending lots of love,

The Flippfam
